Growing Demand for the Diploma of Business in Australia

Diploma of Business in Australia

The Prestige Service Training (PST) Diploma of Business is an 18-month long course aimed at students 15 years old or above currently studying at an Australian school and who have an interest in pursuing business, accounting, finance or similar as a future career path. The diploma is a nationally recognised qualification, which can contribute to ATAR or QCE qualifying scores. PST welcomes all different types of students, but we are particularly looking for those with a drive to succeed who are bright, curious and ready to develop their talents in advance of graduation, to be fully prepared for the business situations and markets that may face them within their chosen future careers.

Throughout the Diploma of Business students will take up to five core modules that will allow them to develop skills such as critical thinking and communication while learning how to budget, manage financial and business resources, and discover what goes into developing sustainable workplace policies and procedures. These required modules allow students to gain an understanding of the crucial skills needed to succeed in most business environments and begin to develop them. An additional seven elective modules allow students to undertake further project work and presentations, recognise and evaluate marketing opportunities and learn how to manage personal and professional development of both themselves as a leader and of others in a business environment.

All the skills and knowledge taught in the Diploma of Business contribute to business operations and company management. Undertaking all twelve modules is recommended. Together they provide a basic overview and starting point, creating the day-to-day picture of a business and all the many different facets needed to make companies successful, within the overarching principles of sustainable planning, steady clientele and satisfied employees. Students learn what it means to be a leader and how good leadership is achieved. In beginning to develop these skills early, PST’s students are more prepared for university and beyond than their peers and can make decisions about a business area or department they might wish to further specialise in later in their educational or professional journeys.

PST has long created courses that allows both younger and older students to take courses aimed at opening job career prospects and provide opportunities and skills to succeed in vocational careers. PST provides a breadth of knowledge, skills and practical experience that allows its graduates to confidently succeed and boldly take professional risks that allow them to flourish beyond their training. PST is recognised nationally for its training programs and they pride themselves on being able to build strong relationships with their students, offering both fully face to face and fully remote courses. Their classes are spread across three campuses in Southport, Milton and Beenleigh, with a virtual option available to allow our students as much comfort and flexibility as possible. PST aims to provide a guiding hand, particularly to their younger students not yet familiar with the world of work and aid them in gaining an understanding of expectations beyond classroom walls.
